The Gyronimo / Tim Tucker Performance Pad is a sophisticated flight computer designed specifically for Robinson R22 Beta and Beta II helicopters. It provides an advanced, digital solution for weight and balance, performance, and navigation calculations relevant to these aircraft models.

This application now includes a professional load manifest feature with a digital signature, enhancing its utility for operational documentation. Additionally, it is optimized for Retina displays, requiring iPad 2 or newer devices to operate effectively.

Developed through a collaboration between Tim Tucker, Chief Instructor at Robinson Helicopter Company, and Claus Richter, founder of Gyronimo Systems, the Performance Pad extends beyond conventional tools. It incorporates insights from Robinson’s experienced instructors, offering comprehensive calculations including manifold pressure, Vne limits, and IGE/OGE performance parameters. These features aim to serve students, instructors, and professional pilots alike.

The interface streamlines weight and balance calculations through intuitive sliders for rapid data entry. It also allows comparison of OGE and IGE performance between Beta and Beta II models, as well as assessment of manifold pressure and speed limits. This flexibility supports scenario analysis and "what if" planning during training and operations.

The application consists of four main sections:

• Weight and Balance Page: Adjust personnel and baggage weights swiftly with sliders; toggle doors and control positions; verify CG position instantly; sign the load manifest digitally and email it as a PDF.
• Performance Page: Utilizing data from the weight & balance section, it calculates key performance parameters such as OGE and IGE ceilings, density altitude, maximum continuous power (MCP), 5-minute takeoff power, and Vne limits.
• Flight Time Page: Provides measurements including calibrated and true airspeed, course data (true and magnetic), wind correction angle, heading, ground speed, and estimated flight time based on distance.
• Helicopter Data Page: Displays helicopter-specific parameters such as rotor dimensions, power plant details, airspeed limitations, units conversion between US gallons/lbs and metric units.
